For Children: toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap, shampoo, lotion, small toys ($1 or less), books in Spanish.
For adults: soap, shampoo, rinse, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste.
And many supplies to operate the clinic including office, cleaning and medical. Donations of money are also accepted.
To schedule your group's drive, send an email to sandy@cchc-vim for more information.
Wanted: small stuffed animals for our pediatric patients
Do you have gently used or new small stuffed animals? Would you like to give them a home with children who visit our health clinic? After each visit we gift a child with a stuffed animal, a book, toothbrush and toothpaste but are almost out of those soft and cuddly stuffed animals.
Bring them by the clinic Monday through Friday (except Wednesday when we are closed) between 8:30-2 or Tuesday evening 5:30-7. You will help a child learn that visiting the "doctor" is a good thing to do.
Make A Difference Day Saturday Oct. 26
Thanks to Volunteer McKinney another Make a Difference Day is set for this Saturday, Oct. 26. Volunteers from the Collin College student nurse classes as well as Job Corp will paint, repair, organize and make the clinic a cleaner, neater and happier place. Thank you to all the volunteers and the staff at Volunteer McKinney for making this day a great one.
Welcome to the Children & Community Health Center

Our website furthers our mission by providing ways for you to learn more and get involved. Thanks for visiting. Your support is appreciated.
The Children and Community Health Center exists to provide basic health care and preventative health education to qualifying residents of Collin County.

Patients are treated with dignity and compassion. Volunteers, employees, clinical teams and donors are respected as valued stakeholders.
Seeking Family Nurse Practitioner
Children and Community Health Center needs a temporary family nurse practitioner (may become permanent) to fill in while the regular NP is on leave. Experience in both adult and pediatric care is required (95% adult). This person will treat chronic and acute illnesses in the indigent uninsured population.
Support will come from volunteer nurses, student nurses, translators and office staff. Access to the volunteer medical director is by email or telephone. As a non-profit clinic, CCHC is supported by hospitals, businesses, churches, civic organizations, individuals, municipal grants and fundraisers. Labs and imaging are provided free or at low cost by area organizations.
